A link to the work that the Sunderbans Tiger Project have been doing in April and May. They dealt with six tiger-attack incidents this past month, and have been continuing their good work with local communities to modify human behaviour.

Vaccinating domestic dogs to save wild dogs

Trustee Tom Ogilvie-Graham has returned from an emergency trip to Zimbabwe where an outbreak of canine distemper has been threatening domestic dogs and Painted Dogs alike. We were asked to assist in treating dogs to prevent sick dogs coming into contact with the Painted Dogs. Find out more about how the trip went above.
Conflict Tiger Resolution Bangladesh

WVI provide desperately needed training in tiger anaesthesia and relocation techniques to protect tigers and people in the mangroves of Bangladesh. Between 20-30 people a year are killed by tigers in this area, and tigers are being killed in response. Read about how we work to help solve this problem here.
WVI vet gives world's rarest cat a check up

A female Amur leopard has been trapped by a team including WVI's veterinary director, Dr. John Lewis, as part of their twice-yearly health screening programme. With only 35 of these animals remaining in the wild, and covering huge ranges, capturing the cats is not easy! Read more here.
