These pictures, by Tushikur Rahman depict a tiger straying into one of the villages surrounding the Sundarbans, where terrified villagers beat them to death with bamboo sticks.
Mentioned is the conservation programme "in which tigers found in villages are sedated and released back into the wild", for which WVI provides the capture, immobilisation and release training.

They depict a tiger straying into one of the villages surrounding the Sundarbans (see pictured), where terrified villagers beat them to death with bamboo sticks. Survivors and relatives of those who did not survive describe the outcome of encounters between humans and tigers.
