Looking for a challenge? Like to support WVI’s work in the

What will your challenge be this year? Looking to push beyond your comfort zone? There are
more outdoor adventures available than ever before, from marathons, triathlons,
trans-continental cycle races and long distance swims, to climbing mountains,
trekking jungles or tackling obstacle courses submerged in mud. Or maybe a
gentler sponsored walk is more your thing.

However you decide to break free and try something new, please raise awareness and funds for WVI and get your team/company at work to join you.  Below are some ideas.
When you are ready you can click here to fundraise.

How about getting into the thick of it?
There are various organised runs from endurance distance and triathlons to shorter ones with a number of obstacles. All of them will ensure you will enjoy every minute of it and have a few stories to tell the grandchildren.

A team of Colchester Zoo keepers Ran for Big Cats in the Tough Mudder Midlands Half on Sat 13th May 2017. - More events here. There are even Mini Tough Mudders for those kids who love getting mucky.

Or vet Karen Archer ran a Rough Runner last year to raise funds for WVI on one of the wettest Saturdays of the year - just to add to the difficulty of the obstacles. To be inspired by the game show obstacles, click here.

Walk4Wildlife: School children are attempting to break the Guinness™ World Record for a mass sponsored walk in May, in order to raise funds for different wildlife charities, including WVI.

Children and accompanying adults need to be walking (anywhere; classroom, playground, up hills or down dales) on 24th May 2019.

In 2017 seven schools took part and raised over £5,000 for WVI's Tiger Health Programme. In 2019 we will be raising funds for veterinary support for Painted Dog Conservation.

Find out how you can take part here.  If you have school-age children, do encourage their schools to join in – and ask them to consider supporting WVI! The current record is 231,635 people. Imagine if everyone raised just £1!

Perhaps walking is your thing? Walk4Wildlife have arranged ‘The Big 5’ sponsored walks, which offer everything from walking to a picnic on the South Downs, to completing 20miles around Richmond Park and Wimbledon Common (London), or following a 50k route around Snowdonia, solving riddles and finding clues as you go (you can drive some of it), to a very civilised (over 2 days) Yorkshire 3 Peaks walk, or even a night walk around the New Forest.

Which one will you go for? For more see the Helping Wildlife website.

Calling all cyclists!

Fancy cycling 54 miles through some of the most spectacular scenery in the South West? Why not do the London-Brighton Cycle ride on Sunday 15th September and raise funds for WVI.
