Loss of income from tourism, as a result of COVID-19, is threatening the health of Nepal’s wildlife, including Endangered rhinos, elephants, leopards and tigers. There is no money to pay experienced staff at the country’s new and only wildlife hospital in Chitwan District.
The hospital has already been playing a vital role in rescuing and rehabilitating sick and injured wildlife, as well as monitoring disease and working with local communities to resolve incidences of human-wildlife conflict.
We want to provide emergency funding to keep experienced veterinary staff at work while tourism revenues recover. Click here to find out more.
