Team WVI - Chiltern 50k Ultra Challenge

WVI is now registered with the Ultra Challenge Series, an events organisation that hosts physical fundraising challenges across the UK and worldwide. Our supporters can now fundraise for us, when they participate in any of their events.

Will you join the WVI team in person on Saturday 23rd September to take on the Chiltern 50 Ultra Challenge ?

The WVI team (Olivia, Angela, and Linda) and our Patron have signed up to this epic walking challenge and we would like to invite our supporters to join us. This is the only physical fundraising challenge we will be doing this year, so we really hope you can be part of it.

Sign up to Team Wildlife Warrior as an individual or use it as an exciting team building event. There is great camaraderie of doing an event like this together and motivation enough to sign up. In addition, we will explore some of England’s finest countryside, with historic trails, rolling hills, nature reserves and fantastic views – right on London’s doorstep!

The Chiltern 50 Factsheet should answer any questions you may have or visit the organiser’s website to find out more. Let us know if you are interested so we can give you the WVI team password.

As a supporter, you know that what we do at Wildlife Vets International is a vital element of wildlife conservation.  Choosing a WVI charity place will raise vital, unrestricted funds, so that we can respond quickly to provide veterinary expertise wherever it’s most needed.

All you need to do is sign up, train and turn up. All the organising is done for you.

There is a choice of different distances, according to your strengths, so the more people who take part the better, to help us all get to the finish line. The Wildlife Warriors Facebook Group will be a hub for training information, support and motivation.

The challenge route follows the Thames to Henley Bridge, then out into countryside on Shakespeare’s Way, Icknield Way and Chiltern Way, with rest stops en route. The full 50 km route, with over 900 metres of climb, is a loop starting and finishing at the basecamp at Henley Showground – with a halfway point at Lewknor.

If 25 km is more your thing – you can do a loop from the basecamp – or take on either half of the full 50 km route. There’s also a shorter 10km loop version too. The Henley basecamp has Friday & Saturday evening camping options, complete with showers.  We will look forward to celebrating with you at the BBQ, bar & entertainment evening on Saturday, after our tough day out on the trails!

Join other like-minded people who all love a challenge and who want to do their part to protect the biodiversity of our planet. Book your place today.

We hope all our supporters will follow Team Wildlife Warrior on their training progress and help them reach their fundraising target with a donation here.
