Join Us to Celebrate 20 Years of Wildlife Health and Impact

We would love you to join us as we bring our WVI family together to mark two decades since our charity was born.
This very special evening will be one to celebrate, thank and remember everyone who has been part of the journey so far.

Ticket sales cover event costs, with all additional proceeds directly supporting WVI and our vital conservation work in the UK and internationally.
We are delighted to welcome Prof. Carl Jones MBE of the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust and Mauritian Wildlife Foundation as our guest speaker. Prof. Jones has worked closely with our founder Andrew Greenwood for many years, achieving remarkable conservation successes and saving at least nine species, including the Echo Parakeet, Pink Pigeon and Mauritius Kestrel, from extinction.
He was awarded the prestigious Indianapolis Prize in 2016, which recognises the world’s leading animal conservationists. Having worked in Mauritius for over forty years, he is a source of inspiration and optimism to conservationists everywhere.
Our incoming Chair of Trustees, Prof. Anna Meredith OBE will also be reminding us why conservation medicine is more important than ever, as we understand more and more about how biodiversity underpins everything on the planet.
The evening will begin with a drinks reception and live music, before moving into Queens’ Old Hall, for our meal, speeches and more. Old Hall dates back to the 15th Century and is one of Cambridge’s most atmospheric dining venues.
A silent auction with some amazing prizes will run throughout the evening, with proceeds going to fund more bursaries to support aspiring wildlife vets working in regions where it remains difficult to access specialist training locally.

Why Cambridge?

We have chosen to have this celebration in Cambridge as both WVI’s founding vets, Andrew Greenwood and the late John Lewis, studied veterinary medicine at the university vet school, and John himself was a student at Queens’.
We are delighted that both Andrew and co-founder Sharon Miller are still very much involved with us as we celebrate and remember twenty years of championing wildlife health.
