Needed: Freelance Fundraiser

What Do We Need?

A freelance fundraiser to help us design, create the content and deliver three campaigns this year:

1.    Our Big Give Green Match fund (target £20,000) in April,

2.    Recruit peer to peer challenge event fundraisers and/or initiate an individual fundraising campaign (target c. £25,000) in May-August,

3.    Our Big Give Christmas Challenge (target £45,000) in November,

4.    Input into planning our 20thAnniversary 2025 fundraising activities.

We are a small charity that is well practiced in delivering the Big Give Christmas Challenge. In 2023 we raised £35,600, just short of our target but still beating our 2022 target. Our GreenMatch Fund will be running for the second year – this raised £10,000 successfully last year.

We are looking for a freelance fundraiser to free up the Executive Director’s time so they can focus on expanding WVI’s conservation work. You will also be working with two other colleagues, freeing up some of their time to raise funds elsewhere. Whilst you will be working closely with the rest of the team, the role is home-based.

About Us

Wildlife Vets International provides veterinary expertise and training to vets and rehabilitators working with endangered species around the globe. We provide training in disease surveillance and testing at population level, effective treatment of sick individual animals, and correct procedures for translocating and reintroducing endangered animals to the wild. Highly endangered species often survive in small, fragmented groups, which are particularly susceptible to disease outbreaks. We work in the expanding interface between wildlife, livestock and humans, and recognise the importance of a One Health approach to protecting biodiversity and tackling emerging disease. Ultimately, our aim is for threatened wildlife to thrive.
