WVI Trustee Annual Report and Accounts
25/10/2013
“Wildlife Vets International saves endangered species by providing in-country veterinary support and establishing sustainable capacity through partnership with local organisations.”

To demonstrate how WVI achieves our vision, above, our Trustee Annual Report and Accounts for 2012 have been submitted to the Charity Comission. The 2012 Trustees Annual Report provides a good summary of projects undertaken in that year. It includes tiger conflict resolution training in Sumatra, Bangladesh and Russia as well as Amur leopard disease surveillance in the Russian Far East. The build up to WVI vet Johanna Storm’s visit to Ahmadabad, India, in January 2013 started in the Autumn of 2012 and is gearing up again for a visit in January 2014. Johanna is helping the Jivdaya Charitable Trust improve the survivorship of birds injured by the kite strings during the International Kite Festival, Ahmadabad. Trustee Brig Tom Ogilvie Graham and Patron Steve Leonard were our vets in Zimbabwe in June 2012, helping to create a disease barrier of vaccinated domestic dogs to protect the painted dogs in Hwange National Park from diseases such as rabies and canine distemper virus. WVI vet John Lewis visited the Endangered Asian Species Trust’s site for rehabilitated endangered primates in Vietnam. WVI is now more able to provide expert advice to the project on a continuous basis. WVI would like to thank the following for funding during 2012:
And a number of individuals who provide invaluable support and funds.
In particular I would like to thank Barbara Meyer for her dedication to raising funds for tiger and Amur leopard conservation. In 2012 Barbara raised a staggering £1,171.55 for WVI through selling her badges and other items with her photos on. In addition, she raised money for ALTA and 21st Century Tiger.
Please see Barbara’s website and follow her on Facebook.
