Out come the wellies as we head to VET Festival

Wildlife Vets International is very excited to have been invited by MWI Animal Health to be their charity partner at VET Festival 2019 (7-8 June, Losely Park, Surrey), now in its fifth year.

VET Festival is different. VET Festival is a unique outdoor environment where youcan relax and learn with your colleagues and leave invigorated and inspired.

With the outdoors being our natural environment and the VET Festival ethos right up our street, we can’t think of a better place to exhibit. Just hope it is the flip flops and not the wellies that make out of the car.

“We look forward to talking about conservation and the role wildlife medicine plays with delegates while trying out Yinyoga at the Wellness hub, eating at ethically sourced food or making friends at the VetFest Live Party night,” says WVI’s Executive Director Olivia Walter.

Painted dogs and the disease threats they face will be the focus of our stand. Following on from their preview on BBC’s Dynasties WVI aims to support vaccination and neutering clinics in Zimbabwe again this September.

Please find us to discuss the epidemiology of canine distemper in this area, the role vaccination clinics play to protect the painted dogs from disease and what other hugely important role the clinics play in painted dog conservation.

Before becoming part of MWI Animal Health, St Francis Group has been a long-term corporate supporter WVI and has donated to this project before.

“We have supported Wildlife Vets International for many years now,” Alan White, Group Commercial Director at MWI Animal Health, said. "The great work the charity does to help endangered animals in the wild very much aligns with our purpose at MWI Animal Health, ‘we are united in our responsibility to create healthier futures’. We are pleased to be able to continue to support their work and look forward to seeing them at VET Festival as our nominated charity partner."

Supported by MWIAnimal Health, VET Festival is a family-friendly event, offering a unique Family Hub, in which parents can listen to lectures while their children play safely without disturbing other delegates.
