We are profoundly saddened by the passing of Her Majesty the Queen.

Throughout all the challenges our world faced during her long reign, she was a beacon of dignity, wisdom and constancy, all tempered by a keen sense of humour.

As an animal lover, she was an advocate for their rights and for the protection of the natural world. We are immensely grateful to her for a lifetime of selfless service to her nation and beyond. As we mourn her passing, our thoughts are with her family and household, and especially with her son, King Charles III.
