Wild Rickshaw Challenge
15/02/2013
WVI ‘s partners in Bangladesh, WildTeam, set up an amazing challenge to raise awareness and funds to save the Royal Bengal tiger in the Sundarbans. They have 10 colourful three wheeled rickshaws and recruited 20 adventurers from all over the world who will cycle them 400 kilometres over the next 10 days through one of the most beautiful and unexplored countries on earth; off the beaten track and into the heart of Bangladesh. They will cycle from the far South East of Bangladesh on the Burmese border and where elephants roam; up through the longest beach in the world; across the Bay of Bengal; then down into the heart of the Sundarbans to go behind the scenes with the Tiger Team. An intrepid adventure, and the only one of its kind in the world.

Today, UK participants Ed and Fred depart for their adventure, with 9 other pairs. Why on rickshaws you ask ? Because as the Royal Bengal tigers symbolize the resilience of Bangladesh, the colourful rickshaws reflect the spirit of the Bangladeshi people. We will be putting updates on our website, but follow the Wild Rickshaw Challenge for all the details.
